Lunch & Learn – “In Their Own Words: Augusta and Aiken Area Veterans Remember World War II”

May 1, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Please join us on Wednesday May 1st from 11:30 – 1 :00 pm for a Lunch & Learn.   Fred Gehle, Augusta Richmond County Historical Society, and  Milledge Murray, local historian, will be at the AHCNA to enlighten us on the history of World War II.  They will be discussing the book,  “In Their Own Words: Augusta and Aiken Area Veterans Remember World War II”.

The book consists of fascinating stories from some noble patriots from the Central Savannah River Area of East Georgia and Western South Carolina who served America at the time of its greatest danger.  As you might expect, these men and women, all in their 80s and 90s when they shared their memories, pull no punches.  What is truly remarkable is how vivid their recollections were and how willingly they told their stories.

Bring your lunch and join us!!

RSVP to director@artsandheritagecenter.com by 4/30/19 to let us know you will be coming.
